A Holiday Novella - Available for 1 Day Only
The night I thought I’d get a ring, I got dumped instead.
Desperate to escape, I travel to my friend’s family inn—only to collide with Penn, her husband’s best friend. He's brooding. Gorgeous. Emotionally off-limits.
That night when I climb into bed naked, not knowing we’d double-booked the same one-bed cabin, he gets an eyeful. Then a snowstorm strands us together.
Awkward? At first.
Electric? Immediately.
Between cutting down Christmas trees, decorating by firelight, and exploring the holiday light trail, the sparks between us turn into something dangerously real.
But when the roads reopen, so does the truth: he belongs here. I’m headed back to California.
We were never supposed to be forever—but suddenly, I’m praying for a Christmas miracle.

Look Inside
Look Inside
The key to the front door turned easily. Inside, I kicked off my heels and let my coat fall to the floor. I'd find a bedroom and look at the kitchen and living room tomorrow. Once I slept for twenty hours.
I left the suitcase by the door. I was too tired to change into pajamas or wash my face. All I needed was a bed. I walked upstairs, and into the room where I could see the outline of a bedframe, I pulled the dress over my head. I breathed a sigh of relief when it was off.
I climbed into bed with just my panties, diving under the covers to get warm. Except there was something in the bed. Did this cabin have a pet I didn’t know about?
When I reached out to touch whatever it was, I encountered bare skin, and I screamed.
The lamp turned on.
The blanket had fallen off my shoulders, and I was kneeling in front of Penn. I was so stunned, I didn't move at first.
His gaze slid from my face down to my breasts. "If you wanted to stay the night, you could have just asked me. No need to get the keys to my cabin."
I shrieked, grabbing the blanket to cover myself. "I didn't want to spend the night with you. Marley said the inn was booked and I'd have to stay in a cabin. She didn't say I'd be sharing it with you."
Penn's bare chest was well defined as if he worked out regularly. "Heath said I could stay here overnight."
I pulled the blanket around my shoulders, averting my eyes from his chest. "You think they did this on purpose?"
He shrugged. "It's possible that they didn't realize they'd offered the cabin to both of us."
"It's just as possible that this is a setup." I started to climb out of the bed, pulling the blanket with me.
He rested on the pillows as if he didn't have a care in the world. "Where are you going?"
"I need to find a new place to stay. I can't stay here with you." I waved a hand in his general direction.
"We're supposed to get a storm tonight, and the inn is full. Where will you go?"
I chewed my lip. "Maybe there's another cabin I can use."
"This is the only one that's free as far as I know."
"Another bedroom." I turned toward the door.
"Heath moved the furniture to their new house and hasn't replaced it yet. This is the only bed."
"The couch then." Surely, there had to be somewhere I could go where I wouldn't be sharing a bed with Penn.
He folded his arm under his head. "You always sleep naked?"
"No." Flustered, I continued, "I'm wearing panties."
His lips quirked. "Sure you are."
I tried to fold my arms over my chest, but the blanket sagged, threatening to expose my nipples again.
He arched a brow.
I sighed. "And no, I'm not going to prove it to you."
"That's too bad."
"I can't stay here with you." Because I wanted to experience those orgasms he'd promised earlier. I wanted him to touch my nipples and ease the ache in my core. He was cocky enough; he didn't need me feeding his ego.
